Philippians 4:2-9

Questions

  1. Who were Euodia and Syntyche? What do we learn about their relationship with Paul, and also about their relationship with each other? What did Paul encourage them to do?

  4. In verses 6-7, Paul urged the Philippians to not be anxious about anything, but instead to present their requests to God through prayer and thanksgiving. Do you practice this in your life? Or are you more inclined to worry and take control?

Prayer Suggestions

  1. Pray for God to reveal any disunity that might be present between you and other fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. Pray for forgiveness and ask God to show you ways of treating one another with love, compassion, and to be of the same mind in the Lord.
  2. During struggles, pray for yourself not to be anxious, but instead to bring your worries to God in prayer. Seek his peace to guard your heart and mind in the name of Jesus.
