John 14:1-14

Questions

  • Put yourself in the shoes of the disciples. You’ve been following Jesus for three years and have heard him teach and seen his miracles. You believe that he is the king promised in the Old Testament. You are willing to put your life on the line and fight against the religious leaders as well as the Roman Empire for the sake of Israel, and Jesus being crowned king. But suddenly, your king starts talking about leaving you, that he would go somewhere that you cannot follow… At this point, what kind of emotions would you be experiencing?
  • How did Jesus comfort his disciples?
  • What do we find out about Jesus’ relationship with the Father in this passage?

Prayer Suggestions
