John 5:28-47

Information

MOSES One of the most important prophets in the Old Testament. He was chosen by God to lead the Israelites out of slavery in Egypt to their own land. God performed many miracles through Moses, which included the ten plagues that hit Egypt, the separation of the Dead Sea to let the Israelites pass through, the provision of food from heaven (manna) for them to eat in the desert, and so on.

Questions

  • How many witnesses are mentioned in this passage that would testify that Jesus was indeed sent by God? Please list them out.

Prayer Suggestions

  • Praise God that he has given us multiple witnesses who have confirmed the claims of Jesus, while testifying that he really is the Chosen One sent by God.
  • Pray that rather than seeking glory from one another, we will focus on the glory that comes from the only God (v44).

Prayer Suggestions

  • Pray that we would develop a trust so deep that even when we don’t fully understand how it works, we are still willing to trust and obey the Lord.

SAT, 29th February

Congratulations! You have reached the end of the first month in the Gospel of John. I hope it has been an exciting and fruitful journey so far.

Please take some time today to look over your notes and add anything you think of onto your JESUS mind map. Have a look at it and be amazed at everything we’ve been able to find out about Jesus so far, and take some time to tell him how special he is to you!

Just a few things you can check out over the weekend…

See you at church!
